Options-Testing can be charged at a per test rate or by the hour. High schools receive a discounted rate for hourly.

Hourly Testing Fee-I can perform testing on an hourly basis as opposed to a flat fee per test. This can reduce your overall costs provided your equipment performs as needed, your welders can complete a test quickly, and all required documentation and records are completed. Educational Discounts are available. (Check your Perkins Industry Recognized Credentials 1st)

NOTE: The fees below are for the testing portion. If you want to test as an AWS Certified Welder, then if you pass, there will be an additional fee ($60 at this writing) that will cover AWS Registration in the AWS welder registry.

AWS Certified Welder and testing with an AWS ATF MAY NOT BE REQUIRED! Very few cases require you test through the AWS Certified Welder Program.

The hourly rate for me to perform testing at your site is $75.00 per hour ($35.00 for High Schools).

The time charged will include my verification of your equipment, preparation of coupons, and fitup and tacking of test assemblies, obtaining welder information, discussion with the welders on test requirements including review of the WPS, test supervision/inspection, and final visual inspection. NOTE: An additional hour per test can be estimated for prep/bends and documentation. If problems arise while onsite that slow down the process, you will be billed for the time.

Single Position Limited Thickness With Backing Plate Per AWS D1.1- $225.00

Single Position Limited Thickness With Backing per AWS D1.5-$250.00

Additional Positions Per Welder, Limited Thickness With Backing D1.1 or D1.5-$135.00

Single Position Unlimited Thickness With Backing Plate Per AWS D1.1- $275.00

Single Position Unlimited Thickness With Backing Plate Per AWS D1.5- $300.00

Additional Positions Per Welder, Unlimited Thickness With Backing D1.1 or D1.5-$200.00

ASME Sec IX “Super Coupon”- Tig/Stick-$450.00 This is for Tig Deposited “t” of 1/8″ and 1/2″ of deposited “t” for SMAW. NOTE: ASME Tests should be witnessed by a contractor representative if ASME Sec. IX compliance is required. Video of tests is available for a fee.

Multiple Welder Discount:

Any Test being performed concurrently with at least one other person being tested at the same time will be charged at 80% for the 1st 2 additional welders and 70% for any additional welders. This discount does not apply to hourly testing.
